Morning slips into the valley,
undisturbed, the first rays
slide across the far hill,
highlighting the lichen
wrapped trees.
The jays raucous alarm?
Oh, an accipitor glides
across the field.
As this threat moves on,
attention slowly settles.
The chickadees and juncos
get back to their breakfast
at the feeder.
Morning slips into the valley is a beautiful poem!
Thank you.
It’s a pleasure! I love poetry and write poems as well.
Good imagery in this one.
Thank you.
