Late winter storms produce
(I learned this from my neighbor) –
greasy snow.
Even two inches of it,
this stuff not really fluff,
but enough to send a 4 x 4
heavy duty truck
straight into a ditch.
Oh shit!

Damn! Didn’t know about this, better watch your step out there.
We figured it out! Thanks.
mother nature tends to do this from time to time – the wet coast is not immune to this! Glad that you are safe and i hope that the 4×4 is still good to go!
Thanks Cathy. We only have a Kia Soul! But thank goodness we have kind neighbors.
The kindness of others is what truly makes the world go round 🙂
Yep, indeed, amen…
That sounds dodgy. Take lots of care out there, my friend. After all, we want you in one piece or else what would we do without your blog? 😉💙
dodgy! I so love that word!

Greasy snow … thats a new one for me, but doesn’t sound good
Yeah, it’s not good.
Hi Richard
Oh dear. We are originally from Scandinavia and love to drive on snow. It’s just experience to avoid ending up in the ditch. But greasy snow sounds not so nice.
Haven a happy Sunday
The Fab Four of Cley
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thanks for your comment!
Often, 4 wheel drive just gets you into the ditch twice as fast. Wet snow is the worst. Have a good Sunday Richard. Allan
,☀️🤣😅🤭😂🤣
Must be terrifying,
Glad that there was not too much harm.
Greasy snow… my neighbor told me it was called “coulant” in french.
Inuit have “I think” a thousand name for snow… or so the legends says.
Take care, be prudent on the road sir.
🙏
Slip Sliding Away ….. One of my favourite songs from Paul Simon. It is about all the “greasy snow” we have to deal with in our lives. We try to go forward but sometimes end up in the ditch of destiny.
That ditch seems to really like me!, 😂
A ditch in time saves landmines.
Good point. Still hurts.
Ah!
Beautiful.
Thanks!
