I remember having two hydrangea bushes in my Mum’s garden – a pink one and a blue one. Apparently, they need different soil types, one acid and one alkaline. That’s what dictates their colour. Mum’s shrubs also looked like your image after a couple of months of cold, wet weather.
The memory of you Mum’s garden fits quite nicely with your beautiful tribute post to her.
Thank you, Richard. That’s a lovely thing to say. Your words are appreciated. My Mum was passionate about her garden.
